Disability Access & Inclusion Plan
The WA Disability Services Act 1993 requires each local government to have a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP). DAIPs provide a means of ensuring people with disabilities have the same opportunities as other people to access services, community events, buildings and facilities, information, consultative and complaint resolution processes.
The Shire of Gingin's current DAIP was adopted in 2012 and provides a five-year planned approach to progressively improve access to community services provided by the Shire for residents and visitors with disabilities.
