Survey of recreational track use and management on the coast

The Shires of Coorow, Dandaragan and Gingin are working together to develop a Masterplan for the recreation track use of the coast on the public land under their management.

The purpose of the survey is to gather information on:

  1. Key locations and activities on the coast and the associated means of access.
  2. Environmental issues on the coast and the management of these issues.


The Masterplan will be developed considering the recreational use and amenity of the coast while managing the environment to benefit current and future generations.

The coastal environment holds immense natural beauty and offers a diverse range of recreational opportunities, including but not limited to fishing, swimming, surfing, kitesurfing, hiking, camping, four-wheel driving and wildlife observation. As the stewards of this environment, it is essential that we work together to ensure these activities are sustainable, enjoyable, and appropriately accessible.
