Early Rates Incentive Scheme
Information about the Scheme
All ratepayers (excluding Shire Executive Managers, Councillors and their families) who pay their rates in full by the first instalment due date will be given automatic entry into the Shire's Early Rates Incentive Scheme Prize Draw which occurs typically in September annually. Pensioners/seniors are who pay their rebate amount in full by the first instalment due date are also eligible.
This initiative is made possible by the generous sponsorship of many local businesses who supply cash, goods and/or services to make up exciting prize packages for our winners.
Details of the Early Rates Prize Draw, including all the prizes you could win, are included in the Shire's Budget Bulletin which is mailed to our ratepayers each year and published on our website.
Please note that ratepayers opting for the rates instalment payment options two, three, or by alternative arrangements, are not eligible to enter into the draw to win a prize.
Sponsoring the Early Rates Incentive Scheme
Do you have a business to promote? Would you like more publicity for your business? If yes, then why not consider becoming a sponsor of the Shire's Early Rates Incentive Scheme?
In return for your sponsorship - whether it be cash or goods/services - the Shire of Gingin is able to offer four promotional/marketing options to suit your business's budget. Your contribution will then make up a range of exciting prize packages for 10 lucky early ratepayers.
The more sponsorship we can attract, the better prizes we can offer, which then provide rewarding incentives for our residents to pay their rates early. And when rates are paid early, this helps the Shire deliver community projects sooner rather than later.
Becoming a sponsor is easy. The following is a list of sponsorship types and typically sponsorship may be provided annually between 1 May and 30 June.
