= Required Fields Online Form - Expressions of Interest & Suggestions for Gingin Sesquicentenary Event 2021 marks 150 years since the town site of Gingin was gazetted in 1871. Gingin is one of WA’s oldest towns and has certainly been around longer than many others. Its history is rich with stories of pioneers, stockmen and women, Aboriginal culture and many more memories of times gone by. In honour of Gingin’s Sesquicentenary, Council is arranging for a celebration to be held on Saturday, 9 October 2021 in Gingin. This anniversary event offers a unique and time sensitive opportunity to display and celebrate the founding history of Gingin and the Shire’s other communities by extension. Getting Involved The Shire is relying heavily on community involvement so whilst you may not be on the Project Team, we do encourage you to complete the below form if you (or your organisation) would like to be involved. Council and the Project Team are looking for volunteers, ideas for activities and stalls and any other suggestions.
