Ranger Services

The Shire of Gingin Ranger Services team perform a valuable role in making our community a better place to live. Working closely with community and police, our rangers are responsible for:

  • Animal (domestic) control
  • Dog complaints
  • Cat complaints
  • Straying stock on roads
  • Illegal camping
  • Fire prevention including firebreak inspections.
  • Parking issues
  • Litter control (including illegal dumping)
  • Off-road vehicles
  • Abandoned vehicles
  • Restrictions of public reserves and roads
  • Local area patrolling
  • Illegal dumping of rubbish investigations

Our Rangers are on duty and available from 8am – 4pm, 7 days a week. Rangers are only available for an after-hours call back for URGENT issues, e.g. dog attacks in progress or stock on roads
