On Tuesday, 31 March 2020 Council will hold a special Briefing Session to discuss the issues already affecting our local businesses and communities due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.
Council recognises the need to come up with some measures quickly to help our communities and business owners which is why this Briefing Session has been planned.
As stated in the Shire President's letter we put out to the community yesterday, "I (the Shire President), Council and Staff at the Shire of Gingin, would like to assure the community that we are working hard to put in place measures to support our communities including businesses, residents and visitors currently staying in our Shire during this crisis."
Council and the Shire would like to assure our local businesses and communities that we are 100% behind you and we have no plans to abandon our communities in your hour of need. Council and the Shire would like the community to know that we are listening and moving as quickly as possible to address matters and concerns as they are raised.
If anyone in our community has any concerns, please get in touch with us via mail@gingin.wa.gov.au or contact us on (08) 9575 5100.
#WeAreInThisTogether 💕 and from Council's perspective, we certainly plan to do as much as we possibly can to support our communities.
