The Gingin Medical Centre has taken its first delivery of flu vaccines. The initial batch is at this stage ONLY available for those aged 65 and over. The vaccine clinic will commence as of tomorrow (31 March 2020) and the clinic will operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday every week from 9-11am . No appointment is required. Patients will be limited to 6 at a time and social distancing measures will be in place.
Once the next batch of flu-vaccine is received by the Medical Centre, it will be made available to those under the age of 65.
Medicare has agreed to the following with the Gingin Medical Centre:
- Each and every patient is now eligible for tele-health and phone consults as of today, 30 March 2020
- Community members are encourage to utilise this opportunity and spread the word as the Medical Centre’s appointment system will change accordingly over the next week
- Face to face appointments will still be available to the public where deemed necessary or unavoidable
