The Shire Remains Open as per Usual

Published on Monday, 1 February 2021 at 11:05:00 AM

The Shire of Gingin still remains open to the general public as per usual despite the new COVID-19 lockdown measures for Perth, Peel and the South West.

As per previous advice, the Shire asks that if you have any flu-like symptoms then please don't visit any of our facilities. Likewise, if you have been to any of the risk areas in Perth, please follow the State Government's advice on this matter -

If you do visit, please remember to social distance (1.5m) and use the hand sanitiser as provided. The Shire is also is required to keep a Contact Register to assist with contact tracing so please ensure to either scan or fill in our register when you visit.

The public is still required to register with the Shire if you wish to attend a Council Meeting as social distancing measures still remain in place.

If you were planning to attend the Special Council Meeting tomorrow then please register with the Shire’s Governance Support Officer (call 9575 5127) so that we can manage attendances to ensure that we comply with our safety obligations to members of the public, Councillors and Shire employees. If you are intending to stay for the whole meeting, please be aware that you may be asked to leave the Council Chamber from time to time to permit the attendance of others.

Further queries may be directed to the Shire on (08) 9575 5100.
