PUBLIC NOTICE - DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION

PROPOSED SINGLE HOUSE, RECREATION PRIVATE, COMMUNITY PURPOSE AND RURAL PURSUIT
ADDRESS: LOT 64 MUCKENBURRA ROAD, MUCKENBURRA

The public is invited to provide comment on an application received for the development of a Single House, Recreation Private, Community Purpose and Rural Pursuit at the abovementioned address.

Local Planning Scheme No. 9 (LPS No. 9) provides a basis for the control of development/land use throughout the Shire of Gingin. When a development may impact on the amenity of adjoining property owners, comments may be sought by the Shire from those potentially impacted. With respect to the abovementioned development application, the following information is relevant.

The proposed development consists of the following:

  • The applicant seeks approval for a single house in the form of three transportable buildings consisting of a bedroom, dining room/kitchen and laundry.
  • The applicant seeks development approval for a Recreation Private (Roping events) which comprises of :
    • A maximum of 45 persons at any such time to a frequency of once a month;
    • Overnight camping of no more than 10 persons during an event; and
    • A ‘Memorabilia Hall’ and a Storage sheds.
  • The applicant seeks approval for a Community Purpose (Riding School) which comprises of the:
    • A riding school for disabled and disadvantaged children with a maximum of 20 children being in attendance once a month;
  • The infrastructure associated with the Community Purpose land use are as follows:
    • Office transportable;
    • Storage room; and
    • Stables
  • The Rural Pursuit component consists of the keeping of livestock and specifically horses related to the Recreation Private and Community Purpose land uses.

Public comment on this proposal will be accepted up until 4pm on Tuesday, 5 October 2021. Submissions are to be made in writing and to be sent to either mail@gingin.wa.gov.au or posted to the Chief Executive Officer, Shire of Gingin, PO Box 510, Gingin WA 6503.

PUBLIC NOTICE - PROPOSED REGIONAL PRICE PREFERENCE POLICY

The Shire of Gingin proposes to introduce a regional price preference policy which will apply to the following regions:

Region 1:          The area encompassed by the boundaries of the Shire of Gingin

Region 2:          The area encompassed by the boundaries of the Shires of Chittering, Dandaragan and Victoria Plains

A complete copy of the proposed policy is available below. Alternatively, a copy can be obtained from the Shire’s Gingin Administration Centre or Lancelin Office upon request.

PUBLIC NOTICE - PROPOSED LOCAL LAW

The Shire of Gingin hereby notifies for public comment that it proposes to make the Shire of Gingin Meeting Procedures Amendment Local Law (No. 2) 2021.

The purpose of this local law is to amend the Shire of Gingin Meeting Procedures Local Law 2014.

The effect of this local law is to remove c. 5.9 Deputations from the Local Law.

A copy of the proposed local law is available fore viewing below. Alternatively, a copy can be obtained from the Shire’s Administration Centre (7 Brockman Street, Gingin) or Lancelin Office (Vins Way, Lancelin) upon request.
