Dog Containment & Safety

If you spot a wandering dog do not hesitate, contact the Ranger immediately. Together we can prevent potential incidents and keep our neighborhood safe.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Report Wandering dogs: if you see a dog roaming without supervision, contact the Rangers. Your quick action could prevent a potential attack and help safeguard our community.
  • Check Fences Regularly: Ensure your property’s fences are in good repair to prevent dogs from escaping.  By maintaining secure boundaries, you not only protect your pet but also contribute to the safety of your neighbours. Keep your furry companions safe within your property, secure them to prevent accidental escapes and potential conflicts with other animals or people.

  • Register your dogs: Please ensure your dog is registered with the Shire of Gingin and your contact details are up to date. This will ensure that in the event of an escapee we can quickly reunite you with your fur baby.

Let’s work together to create a safer environment for both humans and animals alike.
