The Shire of Gingin has an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified professional to lead a broad portfolio that delivers exceptional service to the community.

Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Manager Regulatory & Development Services is an integral member of the Shire’s Executive Management Team and oversees the smooth and efficient operation of the division’s various services which include planning, building, rangers, environmental health, and waste management.

The Shire of Gingin comprises the historic town of Gingin as well as the popular coastal towns of Guilderton, Seabird, Ledge Point and Lancelin, and is ideally placed to provide both tree-change and sea-change lifestyles. The Shire’s administration office is an easy 45-minute drive from the northern suburbs of Perth.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Providing strategic leadership and operational management of the Shire’s planning, building, rangers, waste management, and environmental health services.
  • Providing specialist technical advice to staff and Council.
  • Undertaking activities as required to fulfil the operational needs of the business unit.
  • Project management.

This position is offered on a three-year contract, with a total remuneration package up to $196,800 per annum, including a cash salary between $129,500 - $150,000 (negotiable dependent on qualifications and experience), superannuation up to 15%, provision of vehicle, and other allowances. In addition, subsidised Shire housing is available if required. The Shire is supportive of flexible working arrangements which may be negotiated with the successful candidate.
