Message from DPIRD - Keep an Eye Out for European House Borer

European House Borer (EHB) has now been found in the Shires of Gingin, Dandaragan and Carnamah—further north than previously known.

EHB is a serious pest of dead pinewood with the potential to cause damage to homes.

You can help stop the spread by keeping an eye out for oval shaped holes about 5mm long, running with the grain on dead pine trees, logs, branches or untreated pine timber.
