Published on Thursday, 17 November 2022 at 8:30:17 AM

At the Shire’s Council Meeting on Tuesday 15 November, Cr Andrea Vis was officially sworn in as Deputy Shire President. Cr Vis takes over the role from Cr Kim Rule who resigned as Deputy but who will continue as a councillor.

Cr Vis was the only councillor nominated for the Deputy position and she was elected unopposed. Cr Vis made her Declaration of Office before Mrs Margaret Greenwell JP, her fellow councillors, and Shire staff in Council Chambers.

Cr Vis has been a Shire of Gingin councillor since October 2019 and we wish her every success as Deputy Shire President.

We would also like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Cr Rule for his dedication and commitment to the role during his time as Deputy.

Congratulations Andrea!
