Main Roads are providing early advice that Bridge 661 over Gingin Brook on Weld Street in Gingin townsite will be replaced in 2026.
Works are scheduled to take place between March 2026 and the end of 2026 however these dates are subject to change.
During the works, there will be a single lane closure on the bridge which will cause minor delays.
The footpaths on both sides of the bridge will be closed for the duration of the project. However, the footpath near the weir will remain open to ensure continued public access.
Construction noise will be generated throughout the duration of the bridge replacement.
Further information will be made available in the coming weeks. A community drop-in session facilitated by Main Roads will be conducted prior to the commencement of works.
