The Shire of Gingin wishes to advise ratepayers that our Rates services are now being supported by an external specialist provider.
As a result, the Shire of Gingin will no longer have an in-house Rates Officer. This means face-to-face appointments or detailed rates advice will no longer be offered at our Administration Offices.
How we can assist with rates enquiries:
- Rate payments can continue to be made in-person (at the front counter), over the phone, or via our usual online payment methods.
- Our Customer Experience Officers remain your first point of contact and can assist with general enquiries, including providing your current rates balance, and other straightforward common enquiries.
- Rates queries of a more complex nature will be referred directly to our external Rates consultants for review and action.
- We strongly encourage ratepayers to contact us via email (mail@gingin.wa.gov.au) for complex/detailed rates enquiries or requests requiring assessment.
We appreciate our community’s understanding and patience as we implement these new arrangements, no doubt there will be some teething issues as we transition to our external providers so please bear with us.
