Aboriginal Tourism Development Opportunity

The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) is encouraging registrations of interest from Aboriginal People and Aboriginal Organisations wishing to conduct Aboriginal cultural events and tours on land managed by the department – including national parks, marine parks, nature reserves and other conservation areas.

Tourism opportunities may include boat tours, bush tucker tasting, sharing language and stories, art and culture, hiking tours, and many others. An opportunity to showcase Aboriginal cultural tourism will highlight cultural diversity, and provide rich and diverse experiences throughout Western Australia.

DBCA provides a 3-year licence charge waiver for new Aboriginal tourism businesses. Expressions of interest run all year. For all enquiries please email: licensing@dbca.wa.gov.au.
