Australia Day 2026 - Gingin Aquatic Centre Pool Party

On Monday 26 January, in addition to our usual Australia Day Neergabby Breakfast we ran an extra two Australia Day events - the Gingin Aquatic Centre Pool Party and the Lancelin Sunset Movie.

The Gingin Aquatic Centre Pool Party welcomed over 200 patrons and was a fantastic community celebration, drawing families, swimmers, and plenty of excited kids.

The raft race resulted in big laughs, friendly competition and team spirit, with two entrants for the inaugural event, Flynn and Tim Batten and Luke and Ted Davidson competing for the coveted trophy presented by Shire President, Cr Linda Balcombe.

The new inflatables were a hit from the moment they touched the water, showcasing lots of competitive play and utilising the pool to its full advantage.

The face painting was a popular addition thanks to Jess and a big thank you must go to the Gingin Aquatic Super Seals for catering to attendees with a fantastic sausage sizzle, rounding out a fun and relaxed event. Last but not least, thank you to Aquatic Centre Manager, Beck and her team for organising the event and coordinating the day.

This event was proudly assisted by the Australian Government through the National Australia Day Council.
