Connecting Youth Expo 2026 - Another Huge Success!

Published on Monday, 20 April 2026 at 7:45:44 AM

Wow! What an amazing day we had at this year’s YME? YNOT? Connecting Youth Expo... another huge success, it was bigger and better, and with a fantastic turnout and overwhelmingly positive feedback already coming through from attendees, exhibitors and our community.

The biggest highlight was seeing so many young people engaging with local industries, exploring opportunities, and making meaningful connections that will help shape their future. This is the reason this event exists, and to see our vision come to life is incredibly rewarding. Not only did we receive great feedback from our community, but our service providers and exhibitors were very impressed with the behaviour, manners and enthusiasm of all our young people - you should be proud of yourselves!

Congratulations to our young entrepreneurs who had their products and services on display all day in the Entrepreneur Gazebos, these inspiring young people act as role models for all attendees. Well done!

We would like to extend a massive thank you to our event sponsors and supporters, this event is simply not possible without your support:

This event was youth driven and lead, well done to our incredible Gingin Scouts Group and Gingin District High School 'School Council' who played such pivotal role in bringing this event to life. Thank you for your time, energy and enthusiasm, what incredible young people!

We would like to sincerely thank all of the service providers and exhibitors who contributed to making the day so engaging, interactive and valuable for our young people. Together, you helped create an event that truly showcased the strength and opportunity within our region and beyond.

Thank you to the inspiring Alanah Yukich who opened the event and ran a Q&A session with members from the GDHS School Council, Alanah was kind enough to stick around and chat to attendees. We were all totally star-struck!

We would like to thank Shire of Gingin staff for giving up time out of their busy schedules to come down and support at the event and also to those who covered for them back at the office. You guys are troopers!

Congratulations and well done to the young winner of the Passport Challenge, Kaison Cooper - aged 10, who won the grand prize of a MacBook Neo and congratulations to all other prize winners throughout the day!

We have created a photo album called "Connecting Youth Expo 2026" on our Facebook page where you can find photos from the day.
