From 1 July 2026, the Containers for Change scheme is expanding, making it even easier for Western Australians to recycle and earn a 10¢ refund on eligible beverage containers.
The expanded scheme will now include:
- Wine bottles
- Spirit bottles
- All fruit and vegetable juice containers
- Flavoured milk containers
- Cordial containers
- Wine and water casks (and more)
This means that from 1 July, almost all beverage containers between 150mL and 3L will be eligible for a refund at Containers for Change refund points across Western Australia.
Please note that some products, including plain milk, certain medical drinks and flavouring syrups, will remain ineligible.
