Please be advised that the Edward Island access track in Lancelin will be closed from tomorrow (26 May 2026). It will reopen when it is safe to do so in September/October, subject to tidal activity.
The closure aims to help the dune recover as the track has become unsafe for use, and to prevent further erosion and impacts to the foredunes that may arise from winter storm conditions.
We do ask that everyone respects the barricades, and thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding during this time.
