The Shire of Gingin is calling for community members to join the Gingin Heritage Trail Working Group – a once-off project group that will help shape the future of our local heritage trails within the Gingin townsite, including the Jim Gordon Trail and Heritage Trail. These trails are already enjoyed by residents and visitors, but the Shire aims to enhance and differentiate them through a staged approach.
We’re looking for people with an interest in local history, heritage, trails, tourism, culture and those connected to the Shire either as residents or through local business or industry.
What’s involved:
Members will take part in one main workshop in February (date TBC) plus occasional follow-ups as we develop improved wayfinding, interactive elements, storytelling, and accessibility throughout these trails.
We’re seeking up to five members who can bring a mix of perspectives, knowledge, experiences and backgrounds to reflect our community. While we value every expression of interest, only a limited number of positions are available to ensure effective discussion and representation.
