The Shire of
Gingin and Avon Waste would like to sincerely apologise for the confusion surrounding the recent bin collection day change for residents in Muckenburra, Neergabby and Wanerie.
The change was meant to be clearly communicated with bin notes, calendars, and a Facebook reminder before the new collection day. Unfortunately, a mix-up between the Shire and Avon Waste meant this information went out too late, and the bin day change caused some confusion amongst residents.
To fix this, Avon Waste has since collected all bins that were left out on Thursday 1 May, and delivered updated bin collection calendars and notes directly on the bins.
If your bin was missed, please contact Avon Waste on 9641 1318, and they will arrange for it to be emptied as soon as possible.
