The Shire of Gingin has received a further update from the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure that the dredging works at Lancelin will commence on Saturday 7 November, with mobilisation and delivery of the dredge to be undertaken this week.
The dredging works will be undertaken in an area adjacent to the Lancelin Jetty, with dredged sand to be deposited on the foreshore in the vicinity of Harold Park (near the Lancelin Sands Hotel).
Please note, Gingin Road between Shell Street and the Lancelin Sands Hotel in Lancelin will be closed for one day on Monday 2 November between 7:00am and 5:00pm.
There will be a section of beach north of the jetty requiring temporary closure this weekend 31 October - 1 November to enable pipe works to be undertaken, full beach access will be reinstated after the weekend.
