The Shire of Gingin would like to provide an update on upcoming dredging works being undertaken by the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI) in Lancelin.
The dredging works will be undertaken in an area adjacent to the Lancelin Jetty, with dredged sand to be deposited on the foreshore in the vicinity of Harold Park (near the Lancelin Sands Hotel).
The works are scheduled to commence on Monday 12 October and are anticipated to be completed by Sunday 20 December. Dredging works will be undertaken seven days a week during this period.
Please note, Gingin Road between Shell Street and the 3 Emus Restaurant in Lancelin will be closed for one day on 22 October between 7:00am and 5:00pm.
The works may result in temporary noise disturbance for residents and visitors in the surrounding area. A Noise Management Plan is in place to mitigate and minimise work-related noise during the campaign.
For further information, please contact the DTMI via dredging@transport.wa.gov.au.
