The Shire of Gingin is Entering Restricted Burning Period

Restricted Burning Period: Wednesday 1 April 2026 - Friday 15 May 2026
On Wednesday, 1 April 2026 at 12:01am the Shire of Gingin will enter its Restricted Burning Period. Due to a lack of ground moisture, permits will only be granted for the purposes below:
  • Agricultural burns
  • Pile burns
Permits for bush burns will not be authorised. This will be reviewed and amended in accordance with improved conditions.
Reminder, it is your responsibility to:
  • Obtain a permit
  • Check weather conditions and fire danger rating (FDR) the day you burn
  • Call DFES on (08) 9395 9209 to register your burn
  • Have three or more people supervising the burn
