Tropical Cyclone Narelle - Roads Closed

On behalf of Main Roads, we would like to advise travellers of the following road closures and important information:

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟲:𝟬𝟬𝗽𝗺 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵:

Brand Highway from Gingin Brook Road, Gingin to Geraldton

Indian Ocean Drive from Ocean Place, Nilgen to Brand Highway

𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:

Main Roads are discouraging any non-essential travel.

Motorists are advised to obey road closure signage and remember closed means closed.

Exercise extreme caution where water is encountered over the road.

Be alert and watch for hazards on the road including stray livestock and debris.

Take care when approaching crossings and floodway’s as river levels may rise rapidly.

Do not drive into water of unknown depth or velocity.

Take care when driving on gravel roads as surfaces may be slippery or muddy and vehicles could become bogged.
