Upcoming Works - Removal of Remaining Footpath

Please be advised, we will be removing the remaining sections of the old Hinchcliffe Lookout footpath near the 3 Emu’s Restaurant on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 February.

These works are being undertaken to prevent further sections of the path from falling into the ocean as coastal erosion in this area continues. We have commenced ‘brushing’ in the area to assist with capturing and retaining wind-blown sand. Once the footpath has been removed, brushing will be placed along the length of the former path alignment to further reduce sand drift. We will continue to place brushing along this section over the coming months, further updates will be provided as this project progresses.

Temporary site fencing has been installed to ensure public safety during and after these works.
